Case study:

An international corporate events company.

Challenge

An international corporate events company required a go-to-market strategy for the UK. Their key objectives were to grow new sales and develop a client base to secure recurring business. With Brexit on the horizon there was a concern of investing too much in the UK market. The decision was made to invest in digital marketing to grow the UK client base initially and continue with further investment once there was more clarity surrounding future trading conditions with the UK.

Solution

We presented a digital marketing strategy that would allow our client to grow their business in the UK with a reduced risk against a potential hard Brexit.

A full digital audit of the UK marketplace was completed. A new .co.uk website was created. SEO and SEM campaigns were launched within specific UK territories that aligned with the chosen market segments. A series of digital marketing activations were created and launched. We assisted in the recruitment of a Digital Marketing Executive to support the strategy long-term.

Results

The digital marketing activity was systemised and made scaleable for ongoing expansion, including integration with the CRM and Marketing Automation systems. Performance was managed through a series of KPI’s and Google Analytics.

Brexit was a key factor in the initial go-to-market strategy for the UK, however, when the pandemic hit in early 2020, the digital marketing strategy helped to maximise sales growth as the target market shifted online. As a result of the Digital Marketing Strategy, business grew in the UK by 40%.
